Typhoon in Jakarta?

wew… What a bad day? My polycarbonate terbang sejauh 2 rumah dan mendarat di tamannya. This is the story, tadi sore pas hujan mulai turun dan semakin lama semakin deras disertai dengan angin yang kencang, tau2 terdengar bunyi seperti ada yang pecah and I just go upstairs, kirain antenna Wifi gw jatoh, ga taunya antennanya masi utuh tapi polycarbonatenya ilang :(

Langsung saja gw keluar rumah pake payung buat nyari tuh polycarbonate yang ternyata terbang ke 2 rumah setelah rumah gw. Untung aja mendaratnya pas di taman milik tetangga, kalo ga… gawat deh.

Meskipun gw pake payung tapi seperti ga pake payung karena baju&celana gw tetep basah semua. Saking kencengnya itu angin sampe payung gw jg mao terbang. :(

Ga cuma gw yang mengalami accident. Beberapa tempat di Jakarta juga mengalami berbagai macam kejadian, mulai dari pohon2 yang pada rubuh sampai TV7 tower at Kebon Jeruk juga ikutan rubuh. -_-

Traffic? Hmmm… dimana-mana macet mungkin karena banyak pohon yang tumbang.

Traffic sucks

This week, traffic in Jakarta made me so sad. Everyday I always get traffic jam everywhere. When I go to campus, I need to spend 2 hours in the street :( When I go home, I need to spend 1.5 hours in the street :(

This problem comes because of the stupid bus way over Jakarta. When the bus way wasn’t started, I only need to spend about 45minutes to campus.

When everything will be back to normal again? :(

New Features again :)

Yeah… New features again. Like as all you can see in the right side, there will be a shout box, dictionary and Hangman games. Hopefully I can add more features later.

Tips and tricks for Linksys WAP54G

If you feel your Linksys WAP54G is not strong enough for transmit the signal, I have an experience to solve it. These are the steps:
1. Backup your setting.
2. Find the newer firmware (which can customize your transmit power).
3. Upgrade your firmware by these following steps:
a. Open the Access Point’s Web-based Utility.
b. Click the Administration tab.
c. Click the Upgrade Firmware tab.
d. On the Firmware Upgrade screen, enter the location of the firmware upgrade file in the field provided, or click the Browse button to find the file.
e. Click the Upgrade button, and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. If it is already successful then go to you wireless advance setting
5. Customize your transmit power.
6. Now your Linksys WAP54G will be more powerful

Note:
- It’s not a good idea to upgrade your firmware if your warranty already past.
- Before you upgrade your firmware, make sure that firmware is suitable for Linksys WAP54 G, otherwise your Linksys WAP54G can be broken
- This trick can also be used for another Access Point

Go to Mr. Revvi’s Office

This morning I had gone to Mr. Revvi’s Office in Artha Graha Building – SCBD. After I arrive there I installed the new Linksys WRT54G and setting the WUSB54G client.
After I finished installing away, then I tried the office Internet which is incredible, but the connection is only for IIX (Indonesia Internet Exchange).

I got about 5-7mbps IIX connection from link net speed test and plasa.com, but for the International connection, the speed is so slow…
I couldn’t open the website on International. Why such the big office building doesn’t use International connection as fast as IIX connection. :(
